Warming Sage & Sausage Bake

Having just returned from a wonderful weekend in South Molton, Devon my flat was cold and uninviting...but a few minutes after putting this delicious one pot meal into the over that feeling had vanished.  The wonderful aromas (and of course the heat from the oven!) made me happy to be home.

This is a super easy dish to prepare...first up cut up some good quality sausages into an ovenproof baking dish

Roughly chop vegetables, I used courgettes, peppers and mushrooms, and add to the dish.  In a pestle and mortar crush a couple of cloves of garlic with a swig of rapeseed oil and a pinch of salt and pepper.  Once a rough paste has been achieved add in 5 or 6 sage leaves and give them a bit of a bash.

Pour this mixture over the sausages and vegetables and pop into an oven pre-heated to about 190C for 35-40 mins.

Delicious!

I'm leaving on a jet plane...

...don't know when I'll be back again. Or so the song goes! I do, however, know that I'll be back on Sunday! This weekend I am making a flying visit to Dublin to visit a wonderful friend.

I did have a picture of my plane to add here, but I've no idea how to do that from my phone!

Lipstick Jungle

I've always been a fan of bright lipsticks, but it is only in the last month or so that I have finally plucked up the courage to start wearing them. I love them, but the reaction the gain in the office is enough to send me scurrying back to my nude lip gloss ways! Seriously, you would think I had come in naked!!

Mmm Fresh Sheets

I love love love coming home from work after my cleaner has been. Having a cleaner for a one bedroom flat is I admit a little indulgent, but it really does make me truly happy having a sparkly clean living space and beside who else can make a bed quite like she can. Fresh sheets and pillows perfectly fluffed...one of life's most simple pleasures!

Its been a while...

I've been working crazy hard both at my day job and getting stock ready for my Etsy shop (you can check it out here... http://www.etsy.com/shop/Flat102). There's not much up there at the moment...but watch this space.

All this hard work hasn't stopped me appreciating some of the sillier things in life...like faces on the side of my building!

Photo taken from my bed this morning!

Enjoy the weekend x
