Me and Mine: A Family Portrait - November

Flat 102 is on the move!

This picture was snapped outside our new home…we're hoping to move in early January so look out for lots of interior design inspired posts soon!

Me and Mine November

As you can probably tell from my face we are super excited to be on the move.  Our little flat has been home to me for nearly 8 years and has seen me through many ups and downs during that time…more ups than downs thanks to the past few years.  Mr O moved in just after we got engaged 2 years ago and then 7 months ago we brought the little dude home so whilst I am looking forward to more space I will be sad to leave our little home.

Although it doesn't look like it in the picture above, the little dude is also excited…

Me and Mine: A Family Portrait Project - October

How is it November already?

This month I was a little more organised for our me and mine photo after last month's disaster!  Ever since the little dude has come along I have felt a strong urge to continue the traditions that Mr O and I both had in our respective families and to also start some new ones of our own.  Heading to a pumpkin patch to pick our pumpkins for halloween is a tradition I hope to continue for many years to come.

Wouldn't it be fun to have a a photo like this every year that were put out with our halloween decorations just for the month of October…

Me and Mine: A Family Portrait Project - September

I am ashamed to say that even though I took hundreds of photos throughout September there are only two with all three of us in and both taken on the same day by my parents.

Last weekend we left the little dude for the first time overnight (not on his own of course, Granny and Grandad were left in charge!) the first photo was taken not long after we were all reunited...

Me and Mine September
Yes I did drag a very hungover Mr O out of bed at 8.30 as I missed the little dude so much!

This picture was taken at lunch where the little dude would have happily tucked into my roast if he had the chance…he had to settle for giraffe!  Look out for adventures in weaning soon.

Whilst we may not look our best, I love the moments they have captured.  Next month I will attempt to be more organised though!

Me and Mine: A Family Portrait Project - August

How on earth is it September already!?!

August was such a fun month and for once I managed to remember to take lots of photos of the three of us which meant I actually had to pick a pic rather than just go with the only photo I had!

My absolute favourite picture this month is this one from our trip to the Mayfield Lavender Farm…you can read all about it here

Me And Mine: A Family Portrait Project - July

Looking back through this months pictures it hit me that most of our family pictures are selfless…whilst these are fun and sometimes the only option it would be nice to expand our repertoire.  Maybe is time to invest in a tripod!

This months picture is a selfie taken at Kew Gardens

Not long after the arrival of the little dude we signed up for a family membership to Kew Gardens.  Having unlimited access to the gardens almost makes up for the lack of our own garden!

A couple of weeks back we spent a lovely afternoon exploring…

The gin was delicious, but I have to say at £6.50 for a small glass it did feel as though the prices had been inflated to take advantage of the captive audience which was a shame, but don't let that put you off a visit to the rest of the gardens.

Me And Mine: A Family Portrait Project - June

I can't believe Me and Mine has come round again so quickly…where is this year going!?  I had a bit of a panic this morning when I realised that it is now July and I didn't have a family shot for June.  Then I realised I did…phew panic over!

This months picture is pretty special it was taken in Poole, Dorset as Mr O and I celebrated our first wedding anniversary.

On Saturday June 22nd 2013 Mr O and I said 'I Do' at my Mum and Dad's church in Poole, we then celebrated surrounded by friends and family at the gorgeous Shell Bay Restaurant on Studland.  The day was absolutely perfect and I wouldn't have changed a thing.

On Sunday June 22nd 2014 we headed back to Shell Bay for lunch, this time with our gorgeous new addition.  I truly feel like the luckiest and most blessed girl alive to be stood in the exact same spot a year later with my husband and a baby boy…what a year!

Please indulge me as I share a few photos from the day taken by the super talented Mr Phill

Getting ready

Mr O is very particular about how his tie is knotted!

Finally time to put the dress on...

The ferry across to Shell Bay…yes we made all our guests get on a ferry!

It was a 'little' bit windy!

Like I said it was just a bit windy

There's the wind again

I wish I could do it all again, this time with the little dude there!

Me And Mine: A Family Portrait Project - May

When I first saw this project pre-baby on one of my favourite blogs (Mummy Daddy Me) I thought it was a lovely idea, but I didn't really appreciate the importance of making sure you have family photos.  Now that I am part of a little family of three and the fact that even though we took hundreds of photos of Max in hospital on his own, with each other and with other people it took us 3 days to get a photo of the three of us together...I get it!

So to kick off my participation in this project here is our first family photo taken in April…

And here is our May contribution taken at Max's first BBQ surrounded by great friends!
